About us

We are the London Trickies – catering for Nottingham Forest supporters living in London and the South East.

With the London and Southern Counties Branch of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club dates back to 1977, just as Brian Clough and Peter Taylor were leading the club into the top flight of English football, we are rapidly approaching our half century.

In the branch’s formative years Wembley became a second home. We all know about a league title, two European Cups and four League Cups.

And after being out of the Premier League for 23 years, Forest are thriving again since we secured promotion back to the Premier League after the 1-0 win over Huddersfield at Wembley in 2022, last season qualifying for Europe for the first time since 1995.

The success on the pitch has been reflected off it, with our highest membership level for many years.

We are part of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club which is officially recognised by Nottingham Forest FC.

We have been pleased to welcome several key figures from the club for functions in London including Frank Clark, Paul Hart and our never-to-be-forgotten former club chairman Nigel Doughty,

In October 2017, we held a hugely successful event to celebrate our 40th anniversary at which one of our Miracle Men, Garry Birtles, and the club chairman Nicholas Randall QC, proved brilliant guests.

The branch is affiliated to APFSCIL – having been one of the early members of the Association of Provincial Football Supporters Clubs in London. That organisation celebrated its 50th anniversary in the summer of 2025.

The supporters club boasts a very successful darts team, which has won a host of trophies in recent years, and a rapidly emerging pool team who have also won silverware.

In the past we have also taken part in the APFSCIL Football League and APFSCIL Quiz League – if there is enough interest within the branch it would be great to resurrect one or both of those.

We meet regularly for televised games at the Sports Bar and Grill in Marylebone which has created a loyalty card for London Trickies offering 10 per cent off. Just show some Forest-related ID and ask at the bar when the pub is showing one of our matches.
