Our Pool team will play against Newcastle in the APFSCIL Pool Cup Final on Tuesday, February 6.
While Forest’s darts team has enjoyed great success over the years, this is the first time the pool team has got this far in a competition contested by supporters clubs from across London.
The route to the final has included fighting back from 0-3 down to beat Middlesbrough 5-4 and Forest were 2-4 down to beat Southampton 5-4 by the same score in the semi-finals.
Our chairman Steve Moon, a member of the team, said: “We will start clear underdogs against Toon who beat us 8-1 in the league – though we were missing two players – but we’ll have a go.”
This season’s squad has featured Ian Davey, Jon Ball, Dan Ball, Alastair Evans, Josh Checkley, Bill Russell and Ben Swanson in addition to Steve.
The final takes place at Southwark Brewery at 46 Druid Druid, near to Tower Bridge south side. Anybody going along to support the team would be welcome.
Similarly, we always welcome new players. Drop us a message to find out more.
